Videos with consecutive numbered filenames don't add to timeline in order

    kayakman I just tried *not* dragging and dropping and instead using the import menu option - that worked with the filenames in my screenshot above. All I had to do was select the LAST file first, and then shift-arrow-up to add each one from 5, down to 0, and that added them "nicely" into the media bin. I say nicely, because once I then highlighted them all in the media bin and added to timeline at playhead, they all added in the right order. You would think that selecting 0 first and then shift-arrow-down to add 1, then 2, etc would make more sense, but in the import dialog window, as each new extra file is selected, instead of going onto the end of the selection, it goes at the beginning. So starting with last first is what's needed.

    So maybe it's a feature of Windows drag-and-drop that it doesn't add them in the correct order, and Camtasia is using the order they were added to the bin rather than their filenames when it comes to adding all to timeline.

    I didn't change the filenames, I wanted to try with what you see above because that's how I receive the files and if I could avoid having to rename them then ideally I'd want that.
