I am having a very frequent issue with Camtasia, in that there are some projects where as soon as I try to save a file, I get an infamous error message saying that "an error has occurred" and that I need to revert to a restore point. It almost always happens after cutting from a timeline.
All I get is a text file log filled with gobbledygook that apparently even the tech support people are inept at reading, despite the urging of Camtasia for me to send it to them. At this point my project is useless, I can't even clip from the timeline and save without encountering an error insisting that I revert to a previous point. This used to happen a lot until I realized not to use project files in the cloud any more. But now it's happening all the time, even with local files. This is getting extremely frustrating, as I can't move forward with the project and no one at Techsmith seems to have any idea what they're doing. I have no assurances that they would be able to help me even IF I bought a maintenance contract, nor do I have any confidence that upgrading Camtasia versions (9.1 currently) would help.
