There are no editing features available after I record a video.  The Edit menu - all options are fade-disabled.  I cannot slice excerpts from the recording. I'm using Snagit 13

  Hi Bill and thank you for posting to our User Community;

  Unfortunately this is to be expected as the only editing functionality for videos in Snagit is the ability to Trim- you will not be able to use Snagit to annotate / edit videos, though that is possible to do with Camtasia 2021.

While this software supports recording, it also allows you to edit the recorded video. And there are a lot of constantly updated online content in the software.
