snagit cant capture after installing version 2022

I just installed the program after previously having the 2021 version. Whenever I try to capture an image, everything seems to work but nothing appears in the editor and I cannot paste the captured image. It acts like it is not capturing the selected image.

  I'm also having this same issue after installing the 2022 version. I've tried uninstalling and installing the 2022 version and after a couple of days, Snagit will NOT capture again.
