Capture fails login. Cannot reinstall or do anything

Recently TechSmith added some formality to free license with login and cookie to make subsequent login automatic. Worked for about a week. Now totally hosed. My login obviously worked. I had to log in to make this post.

No doubt the trigger is some windows or other security update somewhere. But now I need to uninstall and reinstall Capture, and cannot get anywhere without Capture trying to launch and failing on an exception.
