showing clip time info and selection time info

To see the duration (and start or end time) of a clip,
one has to click and hold an endpoint.
What I need is to see that info when a clip is selected,
say appearing under the current-time box,
instead of hunting for an endpoint and losing my place.

Likewise when doing a drag to select a region, the region's duration
(and start or end time) needs to be visible.
That would have many uses, like measuring the time from point A to point B.

This should be a pretty easy feature to add.
