Vimeo Export: Internet Explorer is no longer supported
Hi everyone
Do you perhaps know how to resolve the Internet Explorer is no longer supported issue?
I do not have Internet Explorer on my PC. Chrome is my default web browser. I contacted Vimeo and this was what they had to say:
" Thanks for your message and sending over the recording!
Sorry you’re having trouble with your upload.
It looks like you’re using third-party software (Camtasia) to upload directly to Vimeo. This feature makes use of Vimeo's API, but the uploading process was built and maintained by TechSmith. Therefore, it’s not in our power to troubleshoot or fix any issues that may arise.
I recommend getting in contact with their support team directly: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us"

Dito. Am wondering about this, too. How do we change the default Internet Browser in Camtasia. It's not in Preferences or anywhere I can see. TIA

Yes, as of 17 June 2022 this is still broken. Techsmith, do you monitor these support blogs? If not, perhaps you should just close the site (and remove the Vimeo option in your product.

As of April 14, 2022 15:47 this is a known issue to be fixed in a further release. I have Firefox as my default browser and encountered the same failure. Generating a local file and manually uploading to Vimeo is the recommended solution, and it gives you more control of the upload.

Hi David,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Right now, we are uploading videos to Vimeo manually. However, this still does not solve my problem as I am working on automating uploads to Vimeo. It would be great if this function worked. I look forward to it being fixed. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

I submitted a problem report to Techsmith to address this. Info from Techsmith: "Your request (#1028761) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff. We will do our best to respond within 1 to 2 business days (sooner if we can)."
