I'm running version 2022.0.0.14133 and it works fine.

I am having the same problem. Reinstalled the app, but that did not help.

Here's what I did to install version 20078 when version 14133 is already installed:

    1. Use the Control Panel to uninstall version 14133. If you have problems with this method, then download Revo Uninstaller Free and use that. If "Snagit" appears more than once in the Control Panel, select each instance and uninstall it. You may have to perform the uninstall more than once for each version. "Snagit" will not appear in the Control Panel once you have successfully uninstalled it.

    2. Go through the C: drive and delete every folder that is named "TechSmith". Look in Program Files,  Program Files (x86), Program Data, and in every folder under User. Make sure that you have deleted every single folder named "TechSmith".

    3. You do not have to make any changes to the Registry.

    4. After every single instance of "TechSmith" folders has been removed, restart your computer.

    5. Now you can install Snagit 2022.1.0.20078.

This worked for me. Good luck!

Same problem.  I just installed SnagIt v.22.1.0.20078 yesterday for the first time on Windows 11 and it worked initially.  I hibernated my computer and today the UI does not show for either the editor or the capture program.  However the capture program is working as I am able to capture (to clipboard) as usual.

Take a look at what's installed in the Control Panel>Programs & Features. If there is more than one Snagit listed, then follow the steps I outlined in the post that precedes yours.

Mine is a Windows 10 system, your's is Windows 11. Maybe there's a difference there?

Perhaps it is due to incompatibility with Windows 11 as it is the only version installed as this was the first and only install

It is not exclusive to Windows 11; I have this issue on Windows 10.

Install version 2022.0.0.14133 and your problems should be over. Just remember to completely uninstall version 20078, to remove all folders in C:, to then reboot, and then install it.

As far as Snagit's personnel go, God help us all.

Thanks for the suggestion, however that sounds like an older version, as I have 2022.1.0.20078  installed.  Do I really want to go backwards in version?  The problem went away after reboot, so I suspect it occurs under certain conditions.
