Mouse pointer imprinted in every captured image
Since I installed Snagit on my new Macbook Pro M1 the mouse pointer is imprinted in every captured image.

Hi,
Do you have capture cursor enabled?

Hi Luke,
Not sure if you watched the video which shows that 'Capture Cursor' is disabled.0 -
Oh weird, the video is not playing back correctly in Chrome for me, just watched in Safari and now I see. Apologies for that!
It appears you have your system cursor set to a larger size, we have noticed that above a certain size macOS seems to handle it differently so it doesn't register as a cursor anymore and appears in screenshots. We will investigate this and see if there's a way around that.

Luke,
Correct. I use a larger-than-usual cursor which looks better in my instructional videos. However, I have Snagit also installed on my older Macbook Air (2017), the same Snagit version, same macOS version, and same cursor size and it does not do that there. So... I am a bit without a clue.

Luke,
Your comment 'that above a certain size macOS seems to handle it differently' made me play around with the sizes and I found out following for Macbook Pro M1:
Sizes 1-4: no issues with the mouse pointer
Sizes 5-7: issues with the mouse pointerMacbook Air (2017, Intel): Sizes 1-7: no issues with the mouse pointer
So... I just use size 4 (had 5 before) on my Macbook Pro as a workaround for now.

Interesting, do you have any external displays on the M1 machine? We've seen mouse cursor burn in on a few external displays, but that was usually at all sizes.

Yes. I have an external display but only since today. No issues on the external display. So..changing it to mouse pointer size 4 resolved the issue completely.

I am also on a M1 machine with the same issue. Setting Cursor size doesn't work for me, tried many different.
Only using the built-in screen on a MBP 16" M1 Pro. Display is set to scaled with "More Space". No external monitor. Using Universal Access to another computer ("verdandi") but turning that off doesn't help.
Running Snagit 2023.0.2 on Monterey 12.6.1.

In general something funny is going on with the cursor on my M1 compared to my 16" Intel machine (also on 12.6.1). In Finder, the Intel-machine displays the resize cursor:

Same on M1:
