When I create a new object (e.g., arrow, callout), I'd like it to be automatically selected so I can edit it.

Also, regarding the toolbar: It's really hard to tell which item is selected (Selection, Arrow, Text, etc) because the selection state isn't very different from the unselected state.

And when I create or open a new document, I'd like the Selection tool to be active, not the one that was last used. It's not likely that I want that tool in a new document.
