upgrade to 2023
I dont usually like to post complaints but I cant even find a way to contact support outside of this board anymore, but I must say the "new" upgrade to 2023 makes me remember upgrades of the 1990s
simple me ... but what happened to snagit reading the currently installed software keys to 2022, 2021 and so on and installing and on ones way to use the product that we have all come to love its clean and efficient style
needing to log in to the acct if I pay for the maintenance agreement is one thing, but then the process that used to be seamless -- download and install and a total of 30 seconds turned into a several minute process -- download, install, log back in, find the software key, enter it then uninstall then, and set permissions turned -- 7-8 minutes of back and forth and reminenscnet of old, clunky installs and uninstalls back in win 3.1
so disappointing
i hope the software has not taken a similar step back in time

Hi,
We're so sorry that the upgrade process was a hassle. I will make sure your feedback is heard.

Yeah. Count me in too. There are no instructions, cautions, or "no worries" text about an upgrade vs. a fresh installation. That's a major omission!
Ideally, an upgrade replaces the existing version and has the option to include or not old SNAG files, library, etc.
So, in self-defense, I'll have to make sure the library is backed up before proceeding. Sigh

Hi,
Although there are acknowledged hurdles to getting the new version installed and authorized, past that the major upgrades should be very smooth as far ask keeping your preferences and capture library intact.
