So there's possibility to use aspect ratios of 1:1, 4:3 and 16:9 with use of the Shift- and Ctrl-keys.

But this does not work very well on my M1 mac. Does anyone else have the issues too?

    Hi,

The hotkeys listed there are only on windows, on mac we snap to various 4:3 aspect ratio sizes automatically, and then holding shift allows you to resize while maintaining the current aspect ratio.

to get a 3:1 what you'd want to do is set up all in one to have a fixed region of say, 300x100.

when to start a capture, you can then resize that region while holding shift down to preserve the aspect ratio. I hope this helps!

Okay, I see. Thank you Luke. But shift does nothing when using a fixed region, like you're proposing. The fixed region moves freely with the mouse cursor, but I can't resize it.

    Hi,

When you're in the mouse tracking mode, you can click to lock in the position. Then you can resize it while holding shift.

When I click, the snapshot is taken. But If I cmd+tab, the region freezes and I can alter the size with a fixed ratio, that's correct. But then I can't re-position the region/snapshot, making it rather cumbersome to try and hit the right spot before cmd+tab.

Thanks for the trial, but this will not work for me. Good software otherwise. Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

You will want to switch from the image capture tab to the all-in-one tab, then this will work as I described :)
