Very bright videos
My videos import just fine from my Iphone to tablet. But the videos are extremely bright: to the point where they are not useable. In the phone the videos are fine. What might cause that?
This is new problem that just started this week. Prior to this week its never been a problem.

To confirm, are you uploading the files to our Video Review service, or are you importing them into an application (such as Camtasia)?

Hi, I am also getting over exposed/bright video recordings using SnagIt 2021.2.1.
Here is a screen capture image taken from SnagIt. Notice the gray table at the bottom of the image.Now here's a video of me typing the message above. Notice the SnagIt video recording doesn't even display the gray table cause of how over exposed it is.

Hi to all! Try the 'Option 4: Change Record Mode'
Snagit settings can be changed to use software mode instead of hardware mode (default). Depending on the computer and hardware being used, this may improve the performance.
Snagit 2018 and Later
- Exit Snagit and the Snagit Editor. Confirm that they are not running in Task Manager.
- Press Windows+R on your keyboard to open the Run window.
- Type the following and click OK: regedit
- Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Features\snagit.
- Click the snagit folder.
- Right-click the AllowHwVideoEncoding item on the right and select Modify.
- Change the Value data field from 1 to 0, and press OK.
- Close the Registry Editor, and open Snagit, and try a new recording.
Snagit 13
- Exit Snagit and the Snagit Editor. Confirm that they are not running in Task Manager.
- Press Windows+R on your keyboard to open the Run window.
- Type the following and click OK: regedit
- Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\TechSmith\SnagIt\13.
- Click the 13 folder.
- Right-click the blank area on the right and choose New > DWORD (32 bit) Value.
- Type UseHardwareEncoding for the name of the new item.
- Right-click the UseHardwareEncoding item on the right and select Modify.
- Change the Value data field from 1 to 0, and press OK.
- Close the Registry Editor, and open Snagit, and try a new recording.
