Private info leaked
I created a video using Snagit, which mistakenly showed my credit card number being entered, including its expiry date. The video was uploaded to Screencast.com but was put in a folder with the setting 'Hidden: Content is only visible via a direct URL'.
Within 1 day of uploading this video, there were 3 fraudulent attempted charges on this credit card, so it is clear that a malicious actor was able to view this video.
I am guessing that a hacker has some sort of way of automatically scanning for new videos uploaded to Screencast.com and checking for credit card numbers. This is a pretty serious security issue. Can someone from Techsmith please comment on this?
Thanks

Hi chuckee - Thanks for contacting us. I'd like to suggest making a Support case for this and having you give us permission to look at your account. Perhaps we can see if that video was ever watched.
While I think it is unlikely that videos in hidden folders could be found in any way, we take security seriously at TechSmith and we'd like to investigate this further to verify that there aren't any bad actors able to do this.
Would it be OK with you if I opened that support case?
