    Hi,

Sorry for the troubles! When you launch Snagit, do you get an alert asking for your keychain password? If so, you'll want to grant access so that Snagit can read your secure authentication information out of the system keychain.

    Sorry for the delay, Luke.

No, I don't get an alert about the chain. What happens is that I trigger the keyboard shortcut to take a screenshot. By default I have the slider set to share the capture to Dropbox. Every time I do this, that opens this window in my browser and this pop-up.

Naturally, I click all the buttons, but nothing happens.

This happens every time, even though Snagit is authorised in Dropbox. And Snagit knows that it's authorised in Dropbox because I can hit the "share" button in the Snagit editor and share to Dropbox without opening any dialogues.

You can see all the things I've tried in my original post. To that list, you can add changing my default browser to Safari to the authorisation dialogue opens in Safari, not Chrome. No difference!

Are you sharing to dropbox from the Snagit editor, or directly after capturing with preview in editor off?

My problem is sharing directly after capture with preview in editor off. If I go into the editor, I can hit Share > Dropbox no problem.

Thanks, that is a known issue and we're working on a fix, I will post here once that fix is live.

    Hi Luke,

How is this coming? Given that sharing to Dropbox is something one can figure to happen by default, it's clearly not just me who finds this an important feature. And as someone who religiously upgrades every time you offer a paid upgrade, this is not a great experience.

Also, I've noticed that the screenshots include my cursor, even though I've set the slider for that not to happen. Again, the slider is prominent, so I can't be the only person who cares about this.

We have identified a fix, and it will hopefully ship in our next release.

macOS burns the cursor in during AirPlay, Sidecar, and some external monitor setups. We're unable to undo this unfortunately.

Thanks, Luke, especially for the info on macOS burning the cursor. I appreciate that it's beyond your control. Hopefully, Apple will undo that itself.

The issue with Dropbox not connecting should be fixed in today's 2022.2.0 update
