How to prevent snagit from hiding. behind the MacBook Pro notch?

Hi,

after 6 weeks of using snagit (and multiple install/unistall), I finally discovered why the snagit capture button (the "S" button on the top of the screen) would "disappear" most of the time:

it was hidden behind the macbook pro notch!!!

I'm not interested in learning various shortcuts, I like the capture window where I can choose what I want.

Question: is there a way to force the S button to NOT hide itself behind the Notch?

Note: I did try the trick to force a black bar but I don't want this solution.

not sure if this is a macos Issue. Maybe sagit could always avoid the area covered by the notch (could snagit use the notch coordinates on the screen to avoid it?)

Hi,

Snagit doesn't get any say as to where we appear in the menubar, but once Snagit is launched, you can command drag the S to another location on the menubar so that it avoids the notch. I hope this helps!

Another solution I'll recommend, if you're willing to spend some money, is Bartender. This app collapses menubar items into another menu, similar to how Windows operates with its system tray icons. This allows you to always have access to Snagit, no matter how many menu bar icons you have. Here's hoping Apple will implement something similar to this in a future version of macOS!
