Using Snagnit in Windows & Macos

Hello, I am sure there's a way I can capture a screenshot in Snagit Windows & have it save not only in Snagit Editor but also automatically download & makes it available in Mac OS. Thanks in advance for the help.

  Hi,

  Yes this is possible with Snagit 2022! If you set Snagit Mac and Windows to point to the same cloud destination, then every capture taken will sync over to the other platform. Edits made to captures will also sync, and be editable by the other platform. Just note that the cloud service has to have files available offline, streaming mode files can't be opened by Snagit as they're not actually on your hard drive.

  Hi Luke,

  Can you show me how I can set up my iCloud as the destination for my capture & do I need to change the Snagit format in the order so I can use it on Mac & Windows? BTW, I only have Snagit for Windows, do I need to purchase Snagit for Mac to make this work? If so, will the Mac version also work on IOS like iPad?

  Hi,

  We have a tutorial for how to set up cloud library here https://www.techsmith.com/learn/tutorials/snagit/manage-library/, the default format of snagx should work well for this.

  You license is valid for 2 computers, and it can be 1 Windows and 1 Mac. The mac version only works on macOS laptops and desktops, it will not work on iOS or iPadOS.
