Video capture disappeared!

Hi,

I recorded a 2 hr session. I saw it was recording as timer was working and when presenter was speaking I could see the audio bar moving.

At the end when I ended it like always, it just showed a small window, it can't be opened and I can not see any trace of all the 2 hr session.

Any idea where to find it? It is not in the editor. My Snagit is up to date.

Please please help. I really need it.

  Hi,

  So sorry that this happened to you. What version of Snagit are you running? Depending on the version there are different places to check for video files.

  My Snagit version is 2022.1.1 (98108). I seriously hope you can help me get it back.

  Thanks, so there are a few places you can look:

  ~/Library/Group Containers/7TQL462TU8.com.techsmith.snagit/Snagit 2022/Temporary

  ~/Library/Group Containers/7TQL462TU8.com.techsmith.snagit/Snagit 2022/PendingCaptures

  and the 3rd place is easiest to get to by opening Terminal and running 

  open $TMPDIR/TechSmithTemporaryFiles

  Let us know if you find any mp4 or mov files in any of these locations.

  Thanks Luke but sadly none. No mp4 or mov in those areas. :(
