Camtasia Editor Shows as Grayed Out in Windows Volume Mixer

Problem

When playing back audio in Camtasia Editor on Windows 11, no audio can be heard, even though there is audio waveform on the timeline and Camtasia shows as grayed out in the Windows Volume Mixer:

Solution

Please follow these steps to reset the audio controls in the Windows Volume Mixer:

1. Click Start > Settings.
2. Go to System > Sound > App volume and device preferences.
3. Click the Reset button.
4. Re-open Camtasia Editor and test audio again
