Problem
The following error occurs during installation of Camtasia:
"Error 2755: The system cannot open the device or file specified"
Solution
There are multiple reasons for this issue.
Reason 1: Located in an Encrypted Directory
The location of the installer is on an encrypted directory. Place the installer in a non-encrypted directory and re-run the installer.
Reason 2: Corrupt Installer
There is a corrupted version of Windows Installer on the machine. Contact Microsoft to obtain a new copy of the Windows Installer and re-install the engine.
Reason 3: Unable to Access the Directory
The installation does not have access to the Temp directory, the directory of the machine is not clean, or the directory does not have enough space to run the setup.
Reason 4: Run on Terminal Server or Mapped Network Drive
The installation is being run on a Terminal Server or mapped network drive. Run the installer from a local location.
