Problem
After installing Snagit, the shortcut on the taskbar and/or start menu are not working.
The error below may be displayed:
"This action is only valid for products that are currently installed."
Solution
If clicking the icon in the taskbar does not open Snagit, re-pin the shortcut to the taskbar.
- Right-click the current shortcut on the taskbar and choose Unpin from taskbar. The icon may look like a blank white box.
- Open the Start Menu and navigate to the TechSmith folder.
- Right-click Snagit and choose More > Pin to taskbar
If you would like to add the Snagit Editor to the taskbar, follow the same process above.
