Problem
When connecting to the FTP output to share a capture, the upload appears to be frozen with the following message being displayed:
Solution
In most cases, the upload is not frozen. It is waiting for a response from the FTP site with a minimum wait time of 5 minutes or less. However, the firewalls can prevent this from happening so the response is never received. After the connection has gone through, you will likely see the following:
To prevent this issue, follow the steps below:
- Select Use passive FTP.
- Click OK.
