Problem
Camtasia Editor shows, "Maintenance Expired" after purchasing an upgrade to the Camtasia Pro plan.
Solution
If you are an existing Maintenance customer* and you are upgrading to the Camtasia Pro plan, you will need to take an additional step to ensure Camtasia Editor is signed in appropriately. To do this, please follow the below steps:
- Launch Camtasia Editor's Home Hub and choose 'Sign Out'

- Exit the Camtasia Editor Home Hub then please open the Windows Run... command by holding down the Windows key on your keyboard, and tapping the R key.
- Please type/copy & paste the following into that window then press OK/Enter: %PUBLIC%\TechSmith\Camtasia\License
- Please type/copy & paste the following into that window then press OK/Enter: %PUBLIC%\TechSmith\Camtasia\License
- Please delete all files within this folder.

- Please close that folder and open the Run... command again via the Windows key plus R method mentioned above.
- Please type/copy & paste the following into that window then press OK/Enter:
%PROGRAMDATA%\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio 24
- Please type/copy & paste the following into that window then press OK/Enter:
- Delete only the 'Reginfo.ini' file located in the folder that pops up.
- Close the window then Launch Camtasia Editor and log in using your Camtasia Pro account credentials.
