Problem
Snagit 2024 does not open after installation, showing an icon briefly before closing without running.
Solution

Delete the Identity Folder:
- Ensure Snagit is completely closed and not running in Task Manager.
- Open the Run window (Windows + R), type
%appdata%\TechSmith\Snagit 24\
, and delete the files inside the "Identity" folder.

Delete the License Folder:
- Open the Run window (Windows + R), type
%LocalAppData%\TechSmith\Snagit
, and delete all files inside the "License" folder. - Open a new Run window (Windows + R), type
C:\Users\Public\TechSmith\Snagit
, and delete all files inside the "License" folder. - Start Snagit from the Start menu, and sign in if using a subscription model.
- Open the Run window (Windows + R), type
By following these steps, Snagit should start without issues.
