Our legacy exporter leveraged antiquated software technologies, which have increasingly demonstrated sub-optimal performance with the advent of modern hardware and operating systems. Since the release of Camtasia 2022, we have been diligently enhancing our new Local Exporter option. As of version 2024.1.3, we will be deprecating the legacy exporter due to its incompatibility and reduced performance on the latest platforms. We recognize that this transition may represent a change for our customers, but it is undertaken with the goal of maximizing the efficacy of the exporting process in Camtasia. This update will enable our valued users to fully capitalize on the capabilities of contemporary hardware and software, offering a superior and more efficient exporting experience.
The legacy Exporter has been removed from Camtasia in release 2024.1.3 and later. We're always looking for feedback on how to improve the Camtasia experience; if you have features you'd like to see added to our modern exporter, please let us know via this feedback form.
