Pasting Image in Microsoft Teams From Snagit Not Working

Problem

Pasting a capture from Snagit into Microsoft Teams results in a blank image.

Solution

This issue is caused by images that have transparency. To resolve this issue follow these steps (start with Option 1 and if that does not resolve the issue, please try Option 2):

Option 1:

1. Open the Snagit Editor.
2. Browse to:
   • Snagit 2018 and later: Edit > Editor Preferences > Share tab > Clipboard.
   • Snagit 13: File > Editor Preferences > Share tab > Clipboard.
3. Check Disable image transparency on clipboard.
   
   
   
   
4. Click OK, and try copying and pasting into Teams again.

Option 2: 

1. Open the Snagit Editor.
2. Click on the Share menu at the top, then click on Save As Preferences...
   
   
   
   
3. Change the setting to Always use this file format: and then select PNG (If PNG does not work, try going back and changing this to JPG).
   
   
4. Click Apply, then OK, and try pasting into Teams again.
