ElevenLabs text-to-speech technology has not yet been released in Audiate. The release is expected in Fall 2025.
What is ElevenLabs?
ElevenLabs is a company that specializes in providing advanced voice synthesis services, allowing users to generate natural-sounding speech from text input. Their text-to-speech voices are often used for applications such as audiobooks, voiceovers, virtual assistants, and other areas where high-quality, lifelike speech is desirable.
Why will some users not have access to ElevenLabs text-to-speech (TTS) voices?
ElevenLabs is committed to protecting against the misuse of their models and products in the creation of audio using AI. As part of this commitment, ElevenLabs does not allow the sale of their services through resellers. This means that TechSmith can only include the ElevenLabs voices in subscriptions sold directly through the TechSmith online store.
Which users will have access to ElevenLabs text-to-speech (TTS) stock voices?
Audiate subscribers who purchased directly through the TechSmith online store. Eligible subscriptions include:
- Camtasia Pro
- Camtasia Create
- Standalone Camtasia Audiate
Customers who purchased directly from TechSmith, but not through the online store, will not have access to ElevenLabs voices. We are working to expand access to this group, but it is not currently available.
Customers who purchased through a software reseller will not have access to ElevenLabs voices, due to the reseller restrictions imposed by ElevenLabs. All customers will have access to the Default Voice collection currently in Audiate, regardless of their access to ElevenLabs (Premium Voices).
