Problem
When you go to launch Snagit on MacOS you receive a Error -3.
Solution
With Snagit closed on MacOS, please take the following steps:
- Open the Applications folder in Finder
- Right click on Snagit and choose "Show Package Contents"
- Navigate to Contents > MacOS
- Open the SnagitSupport.app from there
- Click "Collect Information"
- Before clicking Done on the Window that pops up, reproduce the issue in Snagit, then click Done
- A window will appear with a Snagit_Data.zip file.
- Open a Support ticket and attach the Snagit_Data.zip file to your reply.
After you have opened a support ticket (note, this is a critical step in addressing this issue; opening a support ticket is required for us to properly address this problem) you will need to delete the contents of a special folder.
While Snagit is still closed, please do the following:
- Open the Applications folder in Finder
- Right click on Snagit and choose "Show Package Contents"
- Navigate to Contents > MacOS
- Open the SnagitSupport.app from there
- Click on "Reset Cache"
- Click Reset to confirm on the popup window
- Restart Snagit and try again
