Why Does My Audiate Want To Start a Trial

Solution

This message will appear if two instances are true:

  1. Camtasia will need to be updated to 2025.0.3 or later. You can download the latest version of Camtasia here
  2. TechSmith agent is not running on your computer

Below are steps on how to check if TechSmith Agent is running on your computer:

Windows:

You can check if TechSmith Agent is running on windows by following the steps below:

  1. Open Task Manager and select Services on the left hand side
  2. Scroll down and make sure TechSmith Agent is running, If not click on Start at the top to start the service



Mac: 

You can check if TechSmith Agent is running on Mac by following the steps below:

  1. Open Activity Monitor and search for TechSmith in the search bar at the top right
  2. TechSmith Agent should appear under Process Name

If TechSmith Agent does not show please follow the steps below:

  1. Open Apple System Settings by clicking on the Apple logo in the upper left hand corner and select System Settings
  2. Type in Allow in Background in the search bar on in the left hand column and select Allow in the Background
  3. Toggle Camtasia on the right hand side
  4. Verify TechSmith agent is now running in Activity Monitor
