TechSmith Release Rings let you control how and when updates are delivered to desktop products. This flexibility allows you to stay up to date with the latest features right away—or wait until updates have been available and tested more broadly.
What Are Release Rings?
A release ring determines when you receive product updates. TechSmith offers two release ring options:
Standard (Default)
- Receive all new features and updates as soon as they are released
- Ideal if you want immediate access to the latest functionality and improvements
Delayed
- Receive updates after they have been available to all users for a period of time
- Ideal if you prefer added stability or want more time before adopting new features
Changing Your Release Ring
You can change your release ring at any time. Any changes you make will apply to future updates.
Note: Updates you’ve already installed will not be removed when switching rings.
Organizational Restrictions
In some cases, your organization’s settings may limit or control which release rings are available to you.
