Capture Doesn’t Work or Screen Recording Fails

If Snagit or Camtasia isn't capturing correctly, the issue is usually a system permission or a conflict with another app. Use the diagnostic categories below to find your solution.

2. Advanced Troubleshooting

Step 1: Check Security Software

Some "Anti-Keylogger" or specialized security suites (like Webroot or SentinelOne) block screen capture apps. Try temporarily disabling them to see if capture functionality returns.

Step 2: Update Graphics Drivers

Snagit and Camtasia rely heavily on your GPU to render the screen. Outdated Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD drivers are a leading cause of recording crashes.
