We want to share an upcoming change to the stock avatars available in Audiate.
Our previous stock avatar library is powered by a third‑party provider that has decided to stop offering this service. As a result, we will be retiring these existing avatars on July 17, 2026 (Date TBD). To ensure continuity and to make your experience even better, we’ve introduced a new avatar vendor before the previous avatars are removed. While both options are available in Audiate, the previous library will be labeled Legacy Avatars, and the new library will be labeled Default Avatars.
What’s changing
- New stock avatars: We’ve added a new collection of avatars that offer higher visual quality and more natural lip-sync.
- Faster generation: Videos created with the new avatars will render more quickly, so you can spend less time waiting and more time creating.
- Transition period: Both the new and existing avatars will be available until July 17, 2026 (Date TBD), so you have time to complete existing projects using the current avatars while exploring the new options.
What’s not changing
- The way you create videos with avatars in the product remains the same.
- Any videos you’ve already created with legacy avatars will continue to work as expected. However, you won't be able to update old projects and regenerate that same avatar.
What you need to do
If you have a project that is planned or underway that will include our older avatar library, you have until July 17, 2026 (Date TBD) to complete the project. We will continue to provide in‑product messaging and reminders ahead of this date, so you have time to complete projects and plan your transition.
We are confident this change will deliver better‑looking avatars and a faster creation experience. If you have questions or feedback as you try the new avatars, we’d love to hear from you.
