ElevenLabs, the provider of Premium voices in Audiate, is retiring some of their older voices and replacing them with newer options. The list of voices being retired along with suggested replacements can be viewed at the bottom of this article. If you currently use one of these voices in Audiate, we recommend selecting and testing a replacement voice well before the retirement date of December 31, 2026.
What is Changing?
ElevenLabs is replacing some older voices with new voices designed to be even more realistic, stable performance for long-form and real-time use cases and offer a broader range of accents and styles. Existing videos will continue to work, however, you will not be able to generate new audio with a retired voice after the retirement date.
Key dates and changes:
- All current voices will remain available until December 31, 2026.
- After December 31, 2026, retired voices will no longer be accessible.
What should I do?
If you use any of the soon-to-be retired voices:
- Identify which voices are used in your projects.
- Review the suggested replacement voice.
- Generate sample audio and compare the results.
- Update videos and workflows before December 31, 2026.
