Snagit 2024.2.0 Captures Darker Than Original Image

Problem

Snagit captures in Snagit version 2024.2.0 result in darker than original image.

Solution

This is a known issue with HDR enabled displays that has been resolved in Snagit 2024.2.2 and later. Please follow the steps below to switch HDR settings in Snagit:

1. Download and install the latest version of Snagit 2024
2. After the update is done, open the Snagit Capture window
3. Click on File > Capture Preferences
4. Under the Capture tab, deselect the option for "Support HDR color settings"
5. Click OK to save your changes
