The latest version of Camtasia Editor has arrived, bringing several workflow-enhancing features. With this new release, you can add dynamic captions and smart focus directly to Rev media, and adjust Rev media directly on the canvas to easily refine videos. How do I purchase the latest version?
If you no longer have an active subscription and would like to access the latest version of Camtasia Editor, you can purchase a subscription from our online store.
I have an active subscription, how do I install the latest version?
You must have an active Camtasia Business (or Legacy) License or Camtasia Individual Subscription/plan to use (and continue using) the latest version. It is highly recommended you check and confirm before installing a new version of Camtasia Editor.
To check if you have an active subscription:
- Visit manage.techsmith.com and if prompted, sign in to your TechSmith account.

Check if you have one of the following:
- Camtasia Business (or Legacy) Subscription, or
- Camtasia Individual Plan (Starter, Essentials, Create, or Pro).
- If you have an active Camtasia Business (or Legacy) Subscription but cannot see it on the Dashboard tab, try the Keys tab.
To install a new version of Camtasia Editor:
- In your TechSmith account, click Download or use this link (download will start automatically, and should recognize your OS).
- If you are prompted to sign in during the install process, sign in with the email you used to purchase.
- If you are not prompted to sign in, it's possible Camtasia Editor activated automatically. To check to see if you're already activated, open the Camtasia Editor and choose Help > About Camtasia to confirm.
If you are part of an organization license or someone purchased a license on your behalf, you'll need to contact your internal teams in charge of purchasing or deployment for more instructions.
Snagit access included with the latest Camtasia version
- If you have an active Camtasia Business License Subscription, you can also access the latest version of Snagit and use the same key to unlock it.
- If you have an active Camtasia Individual Subscription (Starter, Essentials, Create, or Pro), Snagit access is also included in your subscription. Once you download Snagit, sign in to unlock it.
