- Open Snagit, enter your key, and click Unlock. For more information, see this support article.
- If Snagit is unable to connect to the activation service, click Offline Activation.

In the dialog that opens:
- Click Copy to copy the generated text to the clipboard.
- Or, click Save As to save a .txt file.
Keep this dialog open. You will need to paste the activation code here to register Snagit. - Using a device that is connected to the internet, open the activation website.
- In the offline activation tool that opens, paste the text that you saved or copied earlier, and then click Activate.
- Activation code is generated. Copy the entire activation code.
- On the machine with Snagit installed, paste the activation code and click Register.
