Window Capture
- You can now select a specific window for image and video captures.
- For video captures, Snagit continues to record the window even if you resize it or move it to another location, and no other windows are captured.
- In the Capture Window, select Window from the Selection dropdown.

Subscription Software
- Updated Snagit Capture and Editor interface colors and icons to better adhere to accessibility standards and provide a fresher, more modern look.
- Updated references of "TechSmith Snagit" to "Camtasia Snagit" to reflect Snagit's new status as a member of the Camtasia portfolio.
- Updated the Subscription Expired dialog to allow users who have already purchased to sign in or switch accounts.

Step Capture
- Guides created with Step Capture and shared to Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote now create slideshows with editable text, a title slide, and individual slides for each image.
Smart Redact
- Now Smart Redact is even smarter! In Smart Redact mode:
- Click text to automatically add or remove redactions.
- Right-click text for additional options, such as Redact All Matches, Remove, and Edit Text.
Editor
- Added the ability to apply Highlight, Blur, and Spotlight tools only to text.
- Updated the color picker to match the updated Snagit Editor interface, improve gradient color selection, and support transparency where gradients are available.
Sharing
- Updated the Dropbox share destination to stop relying on a component going out of support in 2026.
- Removed Panopto as a share destination.
Performance Improvements
- Improved performance when undoing or redoing changes involving multiple objects.
Updates for IT Administrators
- Snagit version 2026 and beyond will not support macOS 14 Sonoma. Snagit 2025 will be the last major version to support macOS 14.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where compression options for saving an image as a TIFF did not work correctly.
