Problem

If you are receiving this "No License Found" dialog in Snagit, please try the recommended steps below.

Solution

Please try these steps to solve the issue. 

1. Verify your purchase was successful

After a successful purchase, you'll receive an email confirmation and a receipt. 

In the order confirmation email:

  1. You can click the "Manage Account" button to view your TechSmith account and confirm you see your Individual subscription or Business key saved. 
  2. This is also a good place to double check the email address you used to purchase (if you purchased a Business license and are assigning the software key to someone else, skip to number 3).

2. Verify you are signed into Snagit with the correct email

Once you've confirmed your purchase was completed successful, and verified the it's under the correct email, you will need to check Snagit to confirm you're signed in correctly.

  1. Open the Snagit editor and click your account drop down in the top right
  2. Confirm your email address is the correct email
  3. If it's not correct, choose "Sign Out" to sign in with the email you used to purchase

If you have verified in Step 1 that you did not successfully purchase, you can choose the Buy Now option from your account drop down to purchase a Snagit subscription. Once completed Snagit should update automatically or after restarting the software.

3. Enter software key manually

If you have your software key, please follow the Enter Software Key steps to unlock or provide these steps to your users. An active subscription is required to use Snagit.

4. Contact your purchasing or IT department for your software key

If someone else placed this order for you, such as an IT department or purchasing department within your organization, you would need to contact them for your software key. 

If you have purchased through one of our resellers or distributors and do not have your software key, you will need to contact them directly as we do not always process their orders into our system.
