Problem
When trying to sign into Snagit, the process doesn't complete, continues to spin saying "Waiting for Sign in," gives the "Unable to Verify License," or doesn't work in some other way.
Solution
Option 1: Try changing your default browser:
- This can be caused by something being incorrectly cached by your browser, try the following steps to set a different default browser temporarily:
- Search for "Default Apps"
- Once opened, scroll to the Web browser section, then click on the browser currently shown, and
then choose a new browser from the list that appears.
- Once you've set a different browser, try signing into Snagit again.
- Search for "Default Apps"
Option 2: Check your Network Firewall or VPN
Confirm that your network isn't blocking your connection, Snagit needs to be able to communicate with the following addresses:
- my.nalpeiron.com
- nsa.nalpeiron.com
- https://login.techsmith.com
- https://updater.techsmith.com/
Snagit also needs to be able to communicate over ports 443 and 80.
