Solution

Reason 1: Fails on First Attempt

When a new Firefox session is started, the scrolling arrows will not appear on the first capture attempt. Cancel the capture, and try the scrolling capture again.

Reason 2: Disable Hardware Acceleration in Firefox

  1. In Firefox, click the menu button  and choose Options.
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. Under Performance, deselect Use recommended performance settings.
    Additional settings will be displayed.
  4. Deselect Use hardware acceleration when available.
  5. Click the Firefox menu  , then click Exit.

  6. Restart Firefox.

Reason 3: Firefox Accessibility Service is Disabled

The Firefox Accessibility Service must be enabled in order for scrolling capture to work. To enable the accessibility service:

  1. In Firefox, click the menu button and choose Options.
  2. Select the Security & Privacy panel.
  3. Go to the Permissions section.
  4. Deselect the Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser checkbox.
  5. Restart Firefox.
