Unable to Start Camtasia. "EditorInterop.dll" Is Missing

Problem

This error message is displayed: "Unable to start Camtasia. 'EditorInterop.dll' or one of its dependencies is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling Camtasia to fix this issue."

Solution

The best workaround is to follow the steps below:

For Camtasia 2021.0.6 and later:

1. Download the x64 C++ runtime from this link.
2. Install the package that was downloaded and restart the computer.
3. Open Camtasia again. If the same message appears again, re-install Camtasia.

For Camtasia 2021.0.5 and earlier:

1. Download the x86 and x64 C++ runtime from here for the x86 and here for the x64 package. 
2. Install the packages that were downloaded and restart the computer.
3. Open Camtasia again. If the same message appears again, re-install Camtasia.
