Problem
When a project is exported from Camtasia Mac as a MP4, the color is faded or incorrect.
Solution
This is a known issue that is fixed in Camtasia 2018.0.9 and later. For more information on upgrading, from the menu bar select Camtasia > Check for Updates.
Users have reported this happening in 2018 and later still. If that is the case, please reach out to technical support.
Camtasia 3 / Camtasia 2
- In Camtasia (Mac) 3 select Share > Local File. In Camtasia (Mac) 2 select Share > Advanced Export.
- In the File format dropdown menu and select Export to QuickTime Movie (.mov).
- Click Options.
- In the Compression Type dropdown menu and select Apple ProRes 422.
- If you still need a MP4 file, download Handbrake to convert your MOV to MP4. Here is a video on how to use Handbrake.
