Problem
When opening Camtasia, the maintenance ID shows the incorrect date or as expired, even though you have paid for an active maintenance subscription.
Solution
First, make sure to check that your Maintenance is active on your account by visiting manage.techsmith.com and clicking on the Keys tab, and then checking your product to see if the maintenance shows as active below the software key.
If you are the purchaser of the software and agreement and do not see maintenance information listed under your software key, please start a support ticket here.
If the maintenance is showing as active on your account, please note that was a known issue in Camtasia 2022 and 2023 that was resolved in the following releases:
Camtasia 2022.5.4
Camtasia 2023.0.2
If you are experiencing this issue, please download and update to the latest version of Camtasia 2022 or 2023.
Please note that the maintenance agreement showing as expired on the home page will not affect use of the software and you should be able to continue to use the software as usual.
