Camtasia Cannot Connect to Youtube

Problem

When exporting a video to YouTube the following error is displayed:
We're sorry! Camtasia Studio cannot connect to YouTube. Check your internet connection and try again.

Solution

Please reset Camtasia using the steps below to resolve the problem.

1. Exit Camtasia and the Camtasia Recorder. Confirm that they are not running in Task Manager.
2. Press Windows+R on your keyboard to open the Run window.
3. Type the following and click OK: regedit
4. Browse to:
   • Camtasia 2024: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\24.0
   • Camtasia 2023: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\23.0
   • Camtasia 2022: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\22.0
   • Camtasia 2021: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\21.0
5. Right-click the 24.0, 23.0, 22.0, or 21.0 folder and click Export. Save the file to a safe location on your computer (this is a backup).
6. Right-click the 24.0, 23.0, 22.0, or 21.0 folder again and click Delete.
7. Close the Registry Editor, and open Camtasia.
