Problem
When attempting to use the Background Removal Visual effect, all options are unavailable and an error message "Your graphics processing unit (GPU) does not support this effect."
Solution
Change the Hardware Acceleration option of Camtasia Editor to use Microsoft Basic render.
Changing to this Hardware Acceleration mode may slow performance while editing.
Please see the steps below on how to adjust this setting.
1. Open Camtasia Editor to a new project
2. Select Edit-> Preferences
3. Select the Advanced Tab
4. Select the drop down for "Hardware Acceleration"
5. Change to "Microsoft Basic Render"
6. Restart Camtasia Editor for changes to take effect.
