Snagit 2021 Crashes on Startup on macOS

Problem

Snagit 2021 or later crashes when I attempt to open it.

Solution

Option 1: Delete License Folder

1. Close Snagit if it is open
2. Open a Finder window
3. Click on Go > Go to Folder...
4. Copy and paste in the following: /users/shared/techsmith/snagit/
5. Delete the License folder
6. Restart Snagit

Option 2: Reinstall Snagit

If Option 1 does not work, please uninstall Snagit by moving the application to the trash, restart the computer, and install the latest version.
