MP4 Produced With Camtasia Editor Results in Choppy Playback on iOS device

Problem

When a project is exported from Camtasia Editor as a MP4, the playback is choppy on an iOS device.

Solution

This is a known issue that is fixed in Camtasia 2020.0.16 and later. From the menu bar, select Camtasia > Check for Updates to install the latest version. If the issue remains please try the following as a workaround.
 

1. In Camtasia Editor select Export > Local File.

2. In the File format drop-down menu select Export to Main Concept (.mp4).
   

   Export to Main Concept is only available in Camtasia Editor 2020 or earlier.

3. If the issue remains, download Handbrake to convert your MP4. Here is a video on how to use Handbrake.
