Who is eligible?
Our included Audiate features are now available for anyone running Camtasia Editor 2025.0.3 or later. This means you can start using these features today even if you have not purchased an Audiate subscription. This includes Camtasia Business or Camtasia Starter/Essentials plan owners, and would be a separate install from Camtasia Editor.
I am the only Camtasia user
If you're the only user and own a Camtasia Business subscription, Starter plan, or Essentials plan, you can follow the instructions below to access the included features in Audiate at no additional cost.
I am part of a company or enterprise Camtasia license
If your organization uses a Camtasia Business license, you might not be able to install Audiate yourself. Please contact your IT department as they may need to review, approve, and install the software for you.
Note for IT administrators: Please use the separate installer workflow provided under Option 1 in this article to install Audiate for your end users.
Camtasia 2025.0.3 or later required
To access the included Audiate features, you'll need to have Camtasia 2025.0.3 or later installed. It's recommended that you first open Camtasia Editor and confirm you've installed any updates. You should see any available updates in the Camtasia Editor home screen.
How do I download Audiate?
Once you've confirmed you're on the latest version (or a version that's compatible), you can download Audiate as a separate installer.
You will need to be sure you have Camtasia Editor installed before downloading and installing Audiate. Audiate will automatically check for this before providing the included features.
You'll also see Audiate features while naturally using Camtasia Editor as part of your video creation workflow. We've included a few examples in the screenshot below.
If you click on an Audiate specific feature, you'll get a popup as seen below. If you haven't already installed Audiate, you'll want to click "Download Now" to download and install the software.
This is a separate installation from Camtasia Editor and Audiate will automatically check to see that you have Camtasia installed before unlocking the included features.

Features that are not available will be labeled with a green crown icon . If you try to use these features the software will prompt you to start a free trial or upgrade to unlock. If you're interested in unlocking more features, you can upgrade your Camtasia plan or purchase a standalone Audiate subscription.
