Camtasia Editor: Remove my Software Key

If you need to remove your software key from Camtasia Editor, please follow the steps below:

Camtasia Editor (Windows)

Please do the steps below to remove the license key from Camtasia Editor:

1. Close Camtasia Editor, making sure it's not running in the background by checking Task Manager (Control + Alt + Delete)
2. Go to manage.techsmith.com and sign in
3. Click on the "Keys" tab at the top of the page
4. Find your Camtasia Editor key listed here: https://manage.techsmith.com/product-keys 
5. Copy and paste the key into a blank document or notepad if you need to save it
6. Click the trash can icon next to the key to remove it from your account
7. Press Windows + R to open a run Window
8. Copy and Paste in the following, then click OK: %programdata%\TechSmith\
9. Look for any folders like "Camtasia Studio 24". If you have multiple versions of Camtasia Editor, you'll need to open each Camtasia Studio folder and delete the files in the next step
10. Find and delete the Identity folder and the Reginfo.ini file
11. Press Windows + R to open a run Window
12. Copy and Paste in the following, then click OK: %PUBLIC%\TechSmith\Camtasia
13. Delete all the files inside the license folder here
14. Re-open Camtasia Editor and enter a new license key
