Snagit and Camtasia Licenses
TechSmith does not currently have a license management portal from which an Administrator can transfer, audit, or view activations for Snagit and Camtasia licenses. You will not be able to see who is assigned to the license or how many are in use. The person in charge of deployment should keep track of current users to ensure you are staying within the total number of licenses you purchased. More info on activations per user.
Our intention is to have a named user management portal for Snagit and Camtasia for customers that prefer this method, but the timeline is uncertain.
We do offer a site license option that makes it unnecessary to track and manage licenses because everyone can have access. Site can sometimes be a good option even for Organizations with as few as 50 employees. Contact our Sales team.
Seat management is only available for: Camtasia Assets, Snagit Assets, Audiate, and Screencast Pro. If you are the owner of the subscription you can check under your seat management tab for a list of active users for these products.
